Overview
Responsible for the full lifecycle relationship within Los Angeles County and for selling all services, regardless of internal or business unit structure. Develops significant new business, leads client teams, participates on other client teams, leads cross-business unit selling, assesses client technology trends, and performs client sales forecasting. Manages the overall client experience and is responsible for building, maintaining, and deepening client relationships. Monitors project manager performance on their client's projects. Conducts client experience surveys (if not the PM on the project). Responsible for coaching project managers on client expectations and providing feedback on project manager and delivery team performance, including removing underperforming staff. Engages in project recovery and supports collections as needed. Determines pursuit staffing, pursuit and project teaming partners, and makes go/no-go decisions. Responsible for client profitability, favorable contract terms, revenue forecasting, and sales results. Project Director / Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as a pursuit champion and project manager/director for Land Development projects. Ensure excellence in project execution, delivering on time, on budget, and with quality that meets or exceeds industry standards. Provide design leadership and guidance, review engineering documents for compliance with contractual requirements. Work with the Group Leader to ensure resource availability for existing and upcoming projects. Attract, develop, and retain key talent; set expectations and oversee performance. Partner with Business Unit staff to support employee development and career growth. Work with the Group Leader to meet Business Unit metrics including sales, backlog, growth, utilization, accounts receivable, employee and client satisfaction, profit, and other key indicators. Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, contracting, and quality standards. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or related field 10+ years of experience on residential, commercial, industrial, K-12, public infrastructure, facilities, or parks projects 5+ years in a business development role with local private developers and public agencies Benefits include:
