Cloud Security Specialist with Security Clearance
Marathon TS is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Specialist to support our client in the financial technology industry. This role is based in Manassas, VA, with 3–4 days per week remote work. Reporting to the Global Security department, the candidate will contribute to the company's digital transformation and hybrid hosting strategy. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing cloud security at scale across various platforms. Responsibilities:
Define and improve cloud security governance frameworks and processes. Conduct security assessments, risk analyses, and develop security concepts for cloud platforms. Create security improvement concepts and risk treatment decision templates. Engage with new cloud technologies and ensure their secure implementation. Participate in developing DevSecOps strategies and collaborate with IT teams. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5–9 years of professional experience in Cloud Security. Proven experience in defining and implementing security requirements for cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with cloud security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security Command Center. Knowledge of cloud computing architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). Experience managing security controls like identity management, encryption, network security, and data protection. Strong understanding of security threats and vulnerabilities in cloud environments.
