Amazon Web Services (AWS) Job Description
AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems. Do you enjoy solving novel and unique technical challenges for customers? Become an AWS Specialist SA! The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market to enterprise customers, including the public sector. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. Teams include business development, specialist, and technical solutions architecture. The WWSO Cloud Operations team helps customers optimize their Cloud Operations journey by leveraging AWS Cloud Operations services. As a Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect, you will execute technical activities on GTM motions for AWS Cloud Operations services to expand adoption into new or existing customer portfolios. Key services include Amazon CloudWatch, Amazon OpenSearch Service, Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus, Amazon Managed Grafana, and AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry. Responsibilities
Represent the voice of the customer; bring feedback to product teams to influence feature development and roadmap. Provide advanced technical knowledge to GTM teams to unblock critical business challenges. Share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public events like AWS Summit and re:Invent. Partner with Business Development to define technical components of GTM solutions. Support an internal community of technical subject matter experts; create enablement materials for AWS field teams.
