Full-time Shift:
Monday - Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm The community you’ll be caring for: Our care for patients extends to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families and providing on-call, 24/7 Chaplains for spiritual support. Award-winning facility and departments including “Great Place to Work” by Becker’s Hospital Review and Gallup. Located about 10 minutes from downtown Fort Worth and near TCU, in the award-winning Burleson ISD school district, which offers a low cost of living. The role you’ll contribute: Ensures patients are appropriately registered for all service lines. Performs eligibility verification, obtains pre-certifications and/or authorizations, makes financial arrangements, requests and receives payments for services, performs cashiering functions, clears registration errors, and edits pre-bill. Maintains close communication with clinical partners to ensure seamless collaboration. Extends exemplary service to internal and external customers and fosters respectful relationships. Provides PBX (switchboard) coverage and support as needed. The value you’ll bring to the team: Proactively seeks assistance to improve responsibilities. Provides timely coverage of registration areas to ensure prompt patient service and support for clinical registration needs. Arranges relief during extended absences. Meets and exceeds productivity standards set by leadership. Maintains attendance and punctuality, exhibits flexibility, and manages time effectively. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Education and Experience Required: High School Graduate or GED One year of customer service experience Preferred Qualifications: One year of relevant healthcare experience Prior collections experience One year of direct Patient Access experience Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and discretion in handling confidential information Knowledge of computer programs and electronic health records Basic medical terminology knowledge Exposure to insurance benefits and deciphering benefit information
