Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on
Scala Developer
to join our dynamic team focused on building and enhancing a Big Data platform for financial applications. This role involves delivering high-quality code, implementing automated testing, supporting DevOps release processes, and documenting technology solutions for transaction monitoring, customer activity review, and scenario optimization.
You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and global technology teams to define and influence the strategy for next-generation solutions that drive innovation while meeting regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement tactical and strategic solutions for complex business problems. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements. Author technical design documents and solution specifications in line with Agile (SCRUM) standards. Conduct data analysis to support development and business decision-making. Develop and maintain high-performance Scala/Spark code for data processing. Perform unit testing using automated BDD frameworks. Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). Support automated DevOps release processes and regression testing. Work closely with cross-functional teams across FCT and NFRT domains. Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of hands-on experience in
Scala
and
Apache Spark
development. Strong SQL skills with experience in
RDBMS (DB2) . Proven ability to optimize code for performance, scalability, and configurability. Minimum 2 years of experience in
HDFS-based
platform development. Proficiency in
data analysis ,
data profiling , and
data lineage . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in
Agile/SCRUM
environments. Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with
Actimize ACTONE
platform. Experience with
Azure Cloud
implementations. Knowledge of
Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
practices. Big Data technology certifications. Exposure to
Machine Learning
and
Predictive Analytics .

Salary Transparency
Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay transparency obligations. The disclosed range represents the lowest to highest salary we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting, although we may ultimately pay more or less than the disclosed range, and the range may be modified in the future. The disclosed range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, geographic location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $103330 - $128656/yearly.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
