Cyber Security Analyst
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support a large program with the Department of Energy located in Manassas, Virginia. The Cyber Security Analyst will help to monitor network traffic and perform risk assessments and vulnerability detection. This position requires a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance. Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Analyst include: Monitor network traffic and perform vulnerability scans utilizing tools such as Splunk, Panorama, Syslog, Wireshark, Tennable Nessus and more to detect potential threats and ensure network is secure. Analyze logs, perform incident response activities, recommend improvements, and design technical solutions to keep the environment safe and secure. Prepare documentation following NIST guidelines. Required qualifications for the Cyber Security Analyst include: 3+ years of experience with packet capture analysis, threat detection, and vulnerability analysis supporting a Security Operations Center or related environment. Experience with Splunk, Tennable, Nessus, log analysis, and IDS/IPS. Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance. Compensation for the Cyber Security Analyst includes: Salary: $130,000-175,000 Depending on experience Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
