A Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with Qlik expertise plays a central role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that enable informed decision-making across an organization. This position combines technical acumen, deep analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to design, develop, and optimize BI solutions using Qlik’s suite of products. As a senior member of the analytics team, you will not only create robust data models and interactive dashboards but also mentor junior developers, contribute to BI strategy, and interface with business stakeholders to ensure analytics solutions drive tangible business value. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy advanced business intelligence solutions using Qlik Sense and QlikView. Architect scalable data models and ETL processes that integrate data from multiple sources. Create intuitive, interactive dashboards and visualizations that communicate key metrics and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Maintain, enhance, and optimize existing Qlik applications to ensure continued relevance and performance. Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering Collaborate with business users, analysts, and executives to elicit requirements and translate them into effective BI deliverables. Lead discovery sessions and workshops to understand business goals, challenges, and opportunities for data-driven improvement. Develop and maintain thorough documentation of requirements, report definitions, and data flows. Data Quality, Governance, and Security Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all BI solutions. Implement data governance best practices and enforce data security policies within Qlik environments. Monitor and troubleshoot data integration and quality issues, proactively addressing root causes. Mentor and train junior BI developers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence within the team. Establish and promote BI development standards, coding practices, and documentation guidelines. Stay current with emerging Qlik technologies, BI trends, and industry best practices, and disseminate knowledge to the team. Identify opportunities for process automation and enhanced data visualization. Drive continuous improvement in BI processes, tools, and methodologies. Contribute ideas for the strategic direction of the organization’s BI roadmap. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 3 years focused on Qlik platform (Qlik Sense and/or QlikView). Strong proficiency in Qlik scripting, data modeling, and application development. Experience with data integration tools, ETL processes, and connecting Qlik to various data sources (SQL, APIs, Excel, etc.). Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize complex dashboards and reports with a focus on user experience. Solid understanding of database structures, data warehouses, and relational data modeling. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality, impactful BI solutions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Qlik certifications (e.g., Qlik Sense Data Architect, QlikView Developer). Experience with Qlik SaaS, Qlik NPrinting, or Qlik GeoAnalytics. Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with Qlik. Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for data compliance. Experience with data science concepts, statistical analysis, or predictive analytics. Seniority level
