We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Senior Data Architect to join our team. This role offers the exciting opportunity to contribute to our clients innovative IVD solutions within their R&D departments. The ideal candidate will be a "Jack of all trades" with a passion for both refining existing database structures and swiftly resolving real-time issues. This position supports both end-users and development teams, with no on-call requirements. The successful candidate must be willing to work on site 3 days a week (T-TH) and be excited to convert to our client's FTE, with an approximate conversion time of 6 months. Description:
The Senior Data Architect will design and develop software for internal R&D departments who are responsible for creating innovative IVD solutions. Collaborate with R&D Microbiologists and Business Representatives across the organization to develop novel systems for medical device data analysis. Design and develop complex reporting and applications using state-of-the-art technologies. Partner with application developers/architects and infrastructure architects to define scalable future state architecture based on business strategy. Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional organization to prioritize, scope and communicate progress of deliverables. Document deliverables compliant with established company design control and regulatory statutes. Provide support for the current database via ad hoc queries, DML, etc. in a regulated R&D environment. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related scientific discipline, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of relational database design, development, and support experience (Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, ETL tools, and database utilities). Ability and experience working with large, complex, normalized relational data models is required. Design and development of relational databases, data warehouse, data marts. Experience with software version control tools. (Git, Bitbucket) An understanding of agile software development (e.g. SCRUM, TDD) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Enthusiastic and proactive contributor and delivers high quality results. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the team. Preferred Qualifications
Cloud technology experience - AWS (RDS, Redshift, Dynamo, Athena, Glue, etc.) Scripting language (Python, Bash, etc) ISO/FDA regulated environment as a member of a product development organization (medical device or biotech industry). SQL Developer, SQL Developer Data Modeler, Oracle Designer UNIX/Linux command line usage and scripting
