The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, a leading academic health center, is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure clinical track for all academic levels for Pediatric CV Anesthesiology within the Department of Anesthesiology. Our Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologists collaborate with the Children's Heart Program at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital (CMHH) located in the Texas Medical Center, Houston. We coordinate a team-based approach to achieve successful perioperative outcomes in children undergoing cardiac and non-cardiac surgeries. The Heart Program handles a wide array of congenital heart conditions and receives referrals from the Fetal Center at CMHH, UT-affiliated clinics in the Greater Houston Area, and neonatal ICUs at Children’s Memorial Hermann, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, UTMB Galveston, and other regional hospitals. Position Key Accountabilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching residents and medical students the skills and theory of Pediatric CV Anesthesiology, as well as clinical activities in the operating rooms. Qualifications: Candidates must hold an M.D. degree or equivalent, have completed a Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship in an ACGME-accredited program with additional training in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology, and be ABA board certified. Current clinical competence should be demonstrated through independent care of children with congenital heart disease within the last 12 months.
