Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a DoD program out of San Antonio, TX. The Senior Cloud Engineer will lead the design, deployment and optimization of Kubernetes-based environments on AWS. This role is fully-on-site & requires a TS/SCI Clearance
Responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Engineer: • Architect and maintain Kubernetes clusters on AWS to support containerized workloads • Implement infrastructure as code and manage cloud resources with a focus on security and compliance • Integrate CI/CD pipelines to streamline application delivery and lifecycle management • Monitor system performance, resolve networking issues, and enforce security best practices
Qualifications of the Senior Cloud Engineer: • 6+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering and DevOps • Experience working with containerized platforms • Strong Kubernetes experience • Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS and supporting development/test environments • Proficiency in scripting, CI/CD tools, and container orchestration • Meets DoD IAT Level II Requirements: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer • Must have an Active TS/SCI Clearance
Salary of the Senior Cloud Engineer: • Salary: Between $150,000 - $170,000 Commensurate of experience • Benefits: Full Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k, Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
