The Digital Maker and Fabrication Professor will teach courses focused on analytical processes and skills for hands-on maker fabrication in physical and virtual environments. Topics include user research, usability, ergonomic analysis, materials selection, production processes, product research, model making, prototyping, and testing. You will be responsible for creating a Maker Culture that fosters an interactive DIY collaborative studio space for creative endeavors, combining lab, shop, and classroom environments to promote learning through hands-on exploration. Our campus makerspace should enable students to tinker, test solutions, and innovate in a project-driven space. If you lack teaching experience, don't worry—our faculty and staff will support you as you: Inspire, motivate, and mentor students Facilitate relevant student projects and innovations Develop and deliver coursework aligned with current and emerging digital fabrication technologies Participate actively in the maker community and encourage student involvement Preferred Skills :
Experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC fabric cutters, and rapid forming tools Experience using digital and physical tools for prototyping Rapid prototyping skills Knowledge of Agile and MVP development frameworks Ability to evaluate materials and techniques during product creation Awareness of current and future trends in digital fabrication and design Experience with embedded systems and electronics integration into products Skills and Education :
Master's degree in Digital Makerspace and Fabrication or a related field, with 18 credit hours in Digital Makerspace and Fabrication; a doctoral degree is preferred At least 3 years of relevant industry experience Pedagogy :

This is not a remote position; candidates must be willing to work at our campus in Tempe, AZ. Compensation :
Adjunct Pay :
$3,000 for in-person courses; $2,400 for hybrid/online courses. Part-Time Pay :
$30,000-$50,000 depending on education and experience. Full-Time Salary + Benefits :
$60,000-$100,000 depending on education and experience, including health insurance, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, paid holidays, scholarships, campus discounts, and a positive work environment.
