Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy and Execution Lead the design, development, and rollout of automation solutions that support our nurses, back-office staff, and operational leaders. Drive a company-wide digital transformation using Google Cloud Platform, AppSheet, BigQuery, and related tools. Make critical architectural decisions that prioritize scalability, performance, and data integrity.
Infrastructure and Integration Maintain and improve our core GCP-based platform, including AppSheet, BigQuery, Looker, Dataform, and App Script. Oversee integration with external platforms such as QuickBooks, Paylocity, Lightning Bolt, UpKeep, and hospital EMRs.
Standardization and IT Governance Provide strategic guidance to standardize and streamline the company's broader IT ecosystem, including: Collaboration tools (e.g., Teams vs. Meet) Project management platforms Hardware selection by role (e.g., Chromebooks vs. Macs) Document storage infrastructure External support vendor relationships Emphasize security and standardization across all systems and decisions to align with best practices and organizational goals.
Leadership and Collaboration Partner with the Director of Process Improvement to build technical solutions that support reengineered workflows. Collaborate with the Director of Operations to support rollouts and generate insight-driven performance improvements. Mentor and grow a small technical team, with a long-term vision for scalable growth and innovation. Lead cross-functional project execution using iterative methodologies (Agile-inspired or adaptive frameworks).
Compliance and Risk Management Ensure that all systems meet HIPAA and other regulatory requirements. Build and enforce robust data governance and cybersecurity protocols.
Requirements
Required: 5-7+ years of experience in technology leadership or senior development roles, with a proven track record of delivering cloud-based solutions in lean, hands-on environments. Extensive, hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with deep proficiency in BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics; familiarity with AppSheet, Looker, Data Form, or Google App Script is a plus. Strong ability to design systems for performance, security, and adaptability, making informed architecture decisions. Experience managing technical projects with iterative methodologies, ensuring effective prioritization and delivery. Excellent leadership and communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders in a resource-constrained setting. Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of managing tasks independently, contributing hands-on when needed, and driving long-term projects.
Preferred: Master's degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field Experience in healthcare, particularly with HIPAA-compliant systems and EMR integration. Familiarity with integrating third-party platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Paylocity, Upkeep, PerfectServe, Lightning Bolt) or leveraging additional GCP services (e.g., Cloud Functions, Google Cloud Healthcare API). Background in scaling technology platforms for mid-sized organizations. Certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer. Experience standardizing IT platforms (e.g., collaboration tools, project management software, hardware choices) in a cloud-native environment.
