Sceye a high-growth technology company, building the next generation of instant communications, imaging and remote sensing infrastructure through stratospheric platforms.
Our lighter-than-air high-altitude platform systems (LTA HAPS) are capable of maintaining position over an operational area in the stratosphere (altitudes of 18 - 21km). They can carry multiple telecommunications, imaging and remote sensing payloads, providing unique functionality, cost, environmental and societal advantages.
Our HAPS be deployed in a matter of days and at a fraction of the cost of traditional infrastructure solutions. This makes them an ideal solution for providing telecommunications connectivity, emergency solutions in the event of natural or other disasters, environmental and infrastructure monitoring, Earth observation and a range of defense applications.

Position Summary
We are seeking a
Systems Engineer
to drive the development, integration, and optimization of our high-altitude platform systems. This role requires a hands-on, problem-solving approach to ensure the seamless operation of complex aerospace systems, from concept through deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles, aerospace technology, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
What You'll Do:
Systems Design & Development
- Lead the development of integrated aerospace systems, ensuring technical feasibility, reliability, and scalability. Requirements Engineering
- Define, analyze, and manage system requirements, balancing technical, business, and operational needs. Integration & Testing
- Oversee system integration, verification, and validation processes to confirm performance and safety standards. Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, software, and flight operations teams to ensure seamless system performance. Problem Solving
- Analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and resilience. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for optimization in system design, processes, and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, aerospace development, or complex system integration Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or similar modeling tools Experience with system requirements development, validation, and verification processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have:
Experience with high-altitude platforms (HAPS), UAVs, or satellite systems Knowledge of aerospace regulatory compliance and safety standards Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies What We Offer:
