Provide technical support to Functional IT leaders, technical and business partners, and end users.
Engage vendors as required and ensure all communications are appropriate for the target audience.
Design/build/maintain solutions Serving as a developer, designing and building advanced enterprise application solutions which address strategic business and technology needs, optimizing the use of vendor-provided applications, services, technologies and locally developed solutions.
Maintains and applies an advanced application development and integration skill set; acquire new technical skills quickly.
Participates in peer review for solutions designed or developed by other team members.
Stays abreast of emerging and evolving technologies, languages, standards and practices.
Makes recommendations to most efficiently and securely respond to evolving, strategic business needs and technical challenges.
Performs testing to maintain quality assurance.
Analysis & Project Management Collaborating with business and technical partners, leads the analysis of complex business, functional and technical needs and challenges.
Provides time and resource estimates and cost/benefit analyses for decision-making.
Manages small IT projects of high technical and/or organizational complexity.
Provides leadership to the project team in project initiation, planning and execution, through the creation of project estimates, technical inputs and timeline evaluations.
Participates in IT project reviews as required.
Maintains our project management systems of record tracking project status, milestones/tasks and time tracking for overall project performance as necessary within Team Dynamics to ensure accurate metrics for ET&S Management.
Release Analysis Maintains and applies deep, broad knowledge of vendor-provided and locally developed business application software, associated technologies, services and their deployments to analyze new releases and patches of vendor software, technologies and other proposed changes.
Identifies the impact of releases and changes on business applications and services, determining necessary and recommended actions to ensure application and service continuity and high availability.
Serves in advisory or consulting capacity to others during the release analysis process.
Other duties as assigned Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in information technology field
Associate's and six years, or combination of education and experience equal to eight years.
Strong customer service and support skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work productively in a highly collaborative environment.
Oracle PL/SQL programming and web application development skills
Java development experience
Experience in solution and UX design
Experience with automated testing practices
Experience with large scale enterprise application implementation, integration, maintenance and support.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies
Experience with process improvement and technology management practices such as Lean process improvement, ITIL and Six Sigma.
Experience with any of the following technologies: GIT, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, SOAP and REST-based APIs
Knowledge of information security best practices
Experience working within a higher education IT environment
