The EMU Foundation, established in 1989, aims to provide additional financial support to Eastern Michigan University through fundraising activities, governed by an independent Board of Trustees.
This role partners with the Dean of the College of Education to develop and execute philanthropic strategies, supporting the colleges mission and priorities. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Advancement, the Director will focus on individual major giving, managing donor outreach plans, and collaborating with various teams within the foundation to support fundraising efforts.
Key responsibilities include managing a donor portfolio, conducting research, building relationships, developing proposals, stewarding donors, collaborating with stakeholders, managing data, and supporting major gift campaigns and events.
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of fundraising experience, preferably in higher education, with strong relationship-building, communication, and strategic skills. A bachelors degree is required; CFRE certification is preferred.
EMU offers a salary of $100,000 - $110,000, along with comprehensive benefits.
