We're looking for a passionate and skilled Information Security Analyst or Senior Information Security Analyst to join our Nuclear IT Process Computer Systems team. In this critical role, you'll help safeguard one of the nation's most vital energy assets from cyber threats. The vacancy will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate(s) education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. What You'll Do As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining our Nuclear Cyber Security Program and Intrusion Detection Systems. Your work will directly support the safety, reliability, and compliance of the Surry Power Station. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and troubleshoot cybersecurity monitoring systems (e.g., SIEM). Conduct periodic scans and manage removable media under the Portable Media Device Program. Participate in the Cyber Security Assessment Team (CSAT) and Incident Response Team (CSIRT). Analyze Critical Digital Assets (CDAs) for threats and ensure compliance with the Cyber Security Plan. Perform rogue wireless access point scans and monitor for unauthorized connections. Harden Windows and Linux systems to meet security standards. Review and apply industry cybersecurity guidance to critical systems. Identify and remediate gaps in cybersecurity controls. Evaluate change management records and design packages for compliance. Support the development and review of cybersecurity policies and procedures. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Associate Information Security Analyst: 0-2 years of relevant experience. Basic understanding in security aspects of multiple platforms and systems, desired. Understanding of network security, firewalls, Windows/Linux OS. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Information Security Analyst: 3+ years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, Windows/Linux OS. Familiarity with SCADA systems and nuclear cybersecurity controls. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Senior Information Security Analyst: 5+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in VMware, McAfee ePO/ESM, ELK Stack, Kibana. Experience with backup software, Active Directory, and cyber forensics. Strong understanding of defense-in-depth and regulatory compliance. Preferred Certifications: GSEC, CISSP, Security+, or equivalent SANS 401 and 504 Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor Preferred Discipline(s): Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math or Business or technical equivalent Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
