ITnova is seeking an Engineer with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, certified as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, certified as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
General Expertise:
At least 6 years of experience in designing, installing, testing, and certifying structured cabling systems, including wiring and fiber optic networks using CAD software for the design.
Duties:
Design and oversee the installation of structured cabling systems, including structured wiring, fiber optics, and wireless networks, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
Conduct site surveys to assess and document existing infrastructure and to plan for new installations or upgrades, including consideration of future growth and technological advancements.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers/architects, and other stakeholders to integrate structured cabling systems with other building systems and to ensure that installations are completed on time and within budget.
Perform detailed calculations and prepare engineering drawings and specifications for the installation of structured cabling systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Supervise and coordinate the work of installation teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Conduct testing and certification of structured wiring and fiber optic installations, using industry-standard equipment and techniques to verify that systems meet or exceed required performance criteria.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to structured cabling systems, providing expert advice and support to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
