() is seeking a full-time Senior Linux Systems Administrator to work remotely from the United States supporting NIH (National Institutes of Health) client in Bethesda, MD. Provide Linux and AWS cloud engineering solutions in a complex application environment, designing automation and productivity tools to support multiple lower environments and the production environment and maintain 24/7 availability of mission-critical systems Work with developers to test, troubleshoot and provide technical assistance with Tomcat based applications Work with the developers and systems engineering teams on troubleshooting and managing Java applications running in EKS clusters and on EKS cluster administration and optimization Support the agency's AWS hosting environment, including managing ownership of AMI creation and lifecycle management, EC2 testing and rollout, system hardening, and configuration management Follow proactive monitoring/maintenance policies and procedures, design and maintain backup and redundancy systems Participate in the monthly on-call rotation to support the Production environment Provide incident response / troubleshooting for Linux servers running in AWS environment Develop processes and procedures for ongoing management of the Linux server environments, including automated OS patching, automated system updates, automated installation of third-party COTS products, disaster recovery, user account management Description Highrise Consulting, Inc.
