Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated
Linux Systems Administrator
to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be essential in managing the stability and performance of our Linux infrastructure while supporting both hardware and software needs. Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize Linux systems for maximum performance. Install and configure new servers according to organizational standards. Carry out OS installation, maintenance including patching, upgrades, and new installations. Monitor and troubleshoot the Linux environment proactively to ensure smooth operations. Conduct daily assessments including hardware checks, application performance, and job scheduling. Ensure successful backup operations in compliance with operational guidelines. Document and refine installation and configuration procedures. Implement regular security monitoring practices for the Linux environment. Oversee user account management and access control for systems. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of load balancing technologies, server farms, and web services. Familiarity with networking protocols including DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, HTTP, and TLS. Proficient in multiple Linux distributions: Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and Ubuntu. Experience with virtualization technologies and server automation using Ansible. Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, Perl, or PowerShell. Understanding of the OpenShift Container Platform and Kafka environments. Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server systems. Job Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in Linux administration or cloud operations. A minimum of 3 years of scripting experience (Shell, Python, Perl, PowerShell). Expertise in Linux-based OS management and configuration. Strong problem-solving capabilities and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on documentation. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
