Founding Engineer (Full Stack or Backend w/Python)
in
San Francisco, CA
As a
Founding Engineer
you will work closely with the client's CTO to build their product from the ground up. Be a champion for user experience, incorporating a deep understanding of our users to guide design decisions alongside the founding team.
Set the foundational system architecture and select key technologies for the codebase.
Help us build additional recruiting agents and deliver on our technical and product roadmap.
Help establish engineering best practices and standards within the team. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
This Founding Engineer is required to come onsite in San Francisco, CA office of the client 5 Days a week.
Duties
5+ years of experience as a software engineer. Experience with zero-to-one development: You should have built new products or systems from the ground up. Deep appreciation for and commitment to delivering outstanding user experiences. Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to work cross-functionally. Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a fast-growing startup environment. Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field with a GPA of 3.9 Minimum Nice to Have
Our client is looking for backend and AI engineers, so ideally you will have deep experience in one of those domains. However, the ability to move around the stack into new areas as needed is appreciated. Experience with some of the technologies in our stack: Python, GRPC, Kubernetes, React, Typescript, Azure and Terraform. Early-stage experience at a startup. Experience building applied AI products.
This is a
Full Time- Direct Hire
opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have experience in stack like
Python Backend language, React or similar Front end development framework, Claude, OPEN AI, GPT etc.
GPA of 3.9 or above is a must
Pay Rate:
$180,000 - 200,000 Base with 0.5% Equity
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
