Position Overview
We're seeking a
Technical Director
to lead and optimize all technical aspects of our foundry and machine shop. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role responsible for
metallurgical excellence, process innovation, and product quality -from melt to final machining.
Key Responsibilities
Lead
metallurgical and process engineering
efforts for gray and ductile iron castings. Oversee
technical operations
in melting, molding, core-making, and CNC machining. Drive
continuous improvement
in casting quality, machining precision, and operational efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve technical issues and improve throughput. Support
new product development , including tooling and customer-specific requirements. Identify and implement
automation , lean initiatives, and emerging technologies. Ensure compliance with industry and customer
technical standards .
Requirements
Qualifications Bachelor's in
Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering
(Master's preferred). 10+ years
in a ferrous foundry environment, including
5+ years in leadership . Expertise in
gray and ductile iron metallurgy , defect prevention, and machining processes. Proven ability to lead
cross-functional technical teams . Strong skills in
