Program Director for Technical Publication and Catalog Management
Job Description
The ideal candidate must have functional as well as technical expertise in managing technical publications as well as illustrated parts catalogs. Aerospace, automotive or equipment manufacturer experience is a must. The Tech Pubs / IPC Workbench specialist will play a critical role in the development, management, and optimization of technical publications and Interactive Parts Catalog (IPC) solutions within SAP-driven or comparable enterprise environments
Qualifications:
• Experience in deploying Technical Publications with SAP and third-party solutions for the A&D industry required. Customer references are necessary.
• Hands-on expertise in authoring, structuring, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentationranging from maintenance manuals and service bulletins to illustrated parts catalogs and digital work instructions.
• Lead the creation, revision, and lifecycle management of technical publications in compliance with industry standards (such as S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, or equivalent).
• Implement and optimize IPC Workbench processes for the development and distribution of interactive electronic parts catalogs.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, service, and IT teams to ensure technical accuracy, consistency, and traceability of published data. Strong understanding of technical communication standards and best practices relevant to Aerospace & Defense.
• Proficiency with leading technical authoring tools, content management systems, and IPC platforms.
• Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives in technical content management or IPC deployment is a plus.
• Demonstrates an understanding on how to lead large global, consulting led Order to Cash (OTC) business transformation program delivery with proven track record and a deep understanding of business values of transformation programs/objectives
• Ability to speak business language, guide business counterparts towards the right SAP solution and translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Proven ability to lead and speak of SAP OTC functionality as it related to business processes
• Has an understanding of industry specific KPIs and benefits of S/4HANA functionality to enable the business
• Understanding of integration with other business processes between Sales and other functional areas with specific reference to production and material movement / logistics
• Working knowledge of configuration and features of key S/4 HANA based OTC structures
• Provide accurate estimates, timeline and ability to self-direct and mentor/manage teams and client.
• Ability to be hands on if required and mentor junior team members
• Ability to leverage and build assets/accelerators and thought leadership
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Demonstrated experience in managing transformational initiatives.
• At least five(5) full life cycle implementations as an ERP Project Manager with multi-module implementations (Finance, Sales, Production, Purchasing, Warehouse)
• A minimum of ten (10) years prior transformational ERP consulting or equivalent industry experience
• At least six (6) years experience in proposal and business case development
• Proven sales experience
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Experience managing 20+ resources
• Willingness to travel up to 100%
• Bachelors degree or equivalent required
Salary Range: $205,000-275,000 a year
