Location:
South Golf Course, Sun City
Job Summary Performs work in the skilled care and maintenance of golf course fairways and greens and the maintenance facilities of an assigned Executive, Regulation or Multi-Course golf course.
Responsibilities
Mow greens using hand or power-driven lawn mowers and equipment
Trim trees
Operate equipment for spraying and spreading fertilizers
Change greens cups
Rake and edge bunkers
Perform janitorial work in maintenance yard and golf courses
Perform minor maintenance of equipment
Paint facility items as required
Participate in safety training and prioritize safety
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
One year of experience in golf course or grounds maintenance
Equivalent combination of experience, education, or training demonstrating ability to perform duties
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of golf and maintenance tools
Knowledge of grass mowing techniques
Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds
Effective communication and safety awareness
Working Conditions
Exposure to weather elements, dust, fumes, noise
Physical activities including walking, bending, lifting
Follow safety precautions
Starting Rate: $16.50/hour
