Position Overview Princeton YMCA is seeking Site Supervisors for after school programs in Princeton, NJ. We are looking for cause-driven leaders that share our commitment to nurturing and supporting children, promoting youth development, and fostering social responsibility.
Responsibilities
Implement varied activities including Homework Time, Enrichment, Physical Activities, Free Play, and Snacks.
Supervise all children on site.
Build relationships with children and families, greet them positively, and assist with questions or concerns.
Maintain discipline following the Child Abuse Prevention Policy and Code of Conduct.
Encourage children to participate and ensure a safe environment, following safety procedures.
Organize and maintain a clean, stimulating space, including disinfecting equipment and setting up/cleaning the site.
Report situations requiring attention to the Director.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old.
Bachelor’s degree in childcare, education, or related field, or at least 2 years of experience working with children aged 5-12.
Experience in a structured group setting.
Ability to quickly solve child-to-child situations.
Good communication skills and ability to relate to diverse groups.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Locations Princeton Public Schools, Johnson Park Elementary, 285 Rosedale Rd, Princeton, NJ 08540; Littlebrook Elementary, 39 Magnolia Lane, Princeton, NJ 08540.
