Hospitalist leads a collaborative and comprehensive healthcare team 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off Manage crossover calls, ER admissions, and transfers at night Follow patients from a single payor system 100% of patients will have a WellMed primary care provider Quality vs. Quantity Model - typical census per hospitalist is 10 to 13 patients per day Patient panel limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage Bonus metrics are largely based on quality What makes an Optum organization different?

Required Qualifications
Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), ANCC, or NCCPA Current licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or the Texas Medical Board Valid DEA license At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Comfort managing a Medicare-aged patient population Ability to work 12-hour night shifts regularly Preferred Qualifications
