Integration & Automation Engineer Location: Orange County, NY Salary: $100,000 $130,000 Company Overview Were a growing, tech-driven team focused on building smarter systems and streamlined operations. Position Overview As the Integration & Automation Engineer, youll own end-to-end system integrationsdesigning, building, and managing the connections that make our platforms run smoothly. From APIs to middleware to internal process automation, this role requires technical savvy, creative problem-solving, and strong collaboration with both developers and business users. Must-Haves: Hands-on experience with APIs, REST, JSON, and XML Integration tools like Zapier, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, or custom automation builds Ability to troubleshoot, document, and optimize integrations Understanding of transactional logic, system workflows, and data mapping Excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams The Ideal Candidate You think in flows and logic, and love connecting the dots between systems You take initiative, learn new tools fast, and enjoy taking ownership Youre detail-oriented, organized, and proactive about solving problems You can turn business goals into backend process improvements Key Responsibilities Plan and implement integrations between internal and third-party platforms Collaborate with software developers and external vendors to build and test APIs Manage automation tools and workflows (Zapier, Boomi, custom scripts, etc.) Monitor system performance, troubleshoot integration issues, and apply fixes Document technical specifications, workflows, and integration logic Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) Maintain employee devices and software tools; recommend new technology as needed Suggest improvements to backend operations and internal systems Qualifications Strong understanding of software development concepts and system integration Experience with middleware platforms or custom automation tools Familiarity with transaction-based systems, billing, and data exchange protocols Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Great communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Background in SaaS, fintech, or e-commerce environments Basic scripting/programming experience (e.g., Python, JavaScript) Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks Benefits Competitive compensation and opportunity for growth Autonomy to lead integrations and influence tech strategy A collaborative and fast-moving environment where your work matters If youre ready to take full ownership of how systems connect and make everything work better behind the sceneswe want to hear from you.
