Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer
to join our dynamic and fast-paced Enterprise Information Technology (Platforms) team. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the IAM needs of both our workforce and customers. This position is pivotal in contributing to the design, implementation, and delivery of high-quality IAM solutions, and will help spearhead the technical direction and development. Leveraging your expertise in coding, architecture, and best practices, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines. Your role in our mission: As an IAM Engineer, you'll be instrumental in shaping our IAM landscape by: IAM Solution Architecture:
Evaluate existing processes and architect solutions to meet all IAM requirements, with a focus on Okta FedRAMP environments including their design, maintenance, support, and implementation.
Technical Leadership & Development:
Contribute to the technical direction and development of IAM solutions. This includes writing code and tests for platform solutions and building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and software deployment.
Troubleshooting & Support:
Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve complex technical IAM-related issues.
Quality Assurance:
Participate actively in code reviews, design reviews, and other technical reviews to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
Documentation & Strategy:
Develop and maintain technical documentation (architecture diagrams, design documents, best practices) and lead technical discussions, making recommendations aligned with Iron Mountain's technical strategy.
Production Deployment & Collaboration:
Lead production deployments, ensuring timely and efficient completion with minimal service disruption. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure platform delivery.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies, evaluating their impact on the IAM platform, and contributing to the codebase for platform APIs.
Valued skills and experience: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in a technical role.
5+ years of experience as a technical lead on projects.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knowledge of at least one public cloud platform: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Knowledge of Python or a similar programming language (Java, Go).
Background in designing and building enterprise-scale, high-throughput, low-latency platforms.
Nice to have: Okta certifications or IAM experience.
Communication & Leadership:
Ability to communicate effectively with users, executives, and senior leaders at all levels.
Strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
Ability to determine work priorities based on general direction from leadership and effectively execute tasks.
