We are seeking a talented Image Processing Engineer to join our team and contribute to our next-generation pharmacy fulfillment solutions. In this role, you will:
Develop Imaging Solutions: Analyze business requirements, design, test, and develop software imaging solutions integrated with appropriate hardware.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with mechanical and electrical teams to deliver equipment featuring Windows compatible drivers and industrial cameras.
Ensure Quality: Provide consistent, high-quality images under various conditions for pharmacists to accurately identify medications.
Drive Excellence: Employ best practices to foster a culture of engineering excellence.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will help us unlock the full potential of pharmacy through innovative applications and systems.
What you'll do:
Design, enhance, and perfect adjustment targets to ensure crisp, defined images
Work with mechanical and electrical engineers to select imaging devices and implement imaging systems for both robotic and human prescription filling hardware, providing clear images for various pill types in different lighting conditions
Maintain existing DirectShow drivers for Windows-compatible industrial cameras while updating to a more modern architecture
Design, implement, and maintain complex software systems
Apply best practices to enhance system quality and stability, avoiding anti-patterns
Use data analysis and performance reviews to improve applications
Provide thorough peer code reviews
Maintain the security of company data and applications using best practices
Create detailed technical documentation for proposed and implemented solutions
Monitor system performance and provide support
You may develop and implement imaging programs that are used by pharmacists to detect unexpected objects and pill types
Who you are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Vision Engineering, Image Processing or similar fields.
2+ years as a Software Development Engineer, Image Processing Engineer, or similar role.
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
Experience with Windows Media Capture and Windows compatible cameras and drivers
Prior Software Development experience with hardware interfaces, specifically with camera systems
Ability to travel up to 25% of the year - 2 to 4 trips per year to our Binghamton, NY office
It would be great if you also have:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Vision Engineering, Image Processing or similar fields.
Experience operating highly available services.
Strong aptitude for keeping up to date with emerging technologies.
A strong passion to build and be a part of a culture of engineering excellence.
Strong problem-solving ability and object-oriented design skills.
Strong skills in documentation and diagraming for solutions.
Strong cross-functional communication skills to be a key team player.

Compensation:
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $75,900.0 0 to $101,250.00, though a candidate's base annual salary shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience. This position may additionally be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
