This role will be responsible for the collection, review and financial analysis of logistics data and dedicated carrier proposals to support decision making. Assists in maximizing supply chain efficiency through the effective modeling and design of inbound transportation routes. The role will perform complex calculations for inbound conversions to measure net income per engineered route and summarize weekly pipeline potential and activated inbound route status. Flexible Work Policy: The Logistics Analyst position has been segmented as Hybrid, meaning the work is a combination of onsite (only two days per month in Rosemont, IL). Responsibilities
The Logistics Margin Analyst will work under the guidance of senior team members to execute project efforts such as: Support development and performance of inbound logistics through daily data analysis of relevant freight and vendor data
measuring and reporting on inbound route performance related to freight goal attainment - provide profitable net income and service recommendations to supply chain stakeholders for fleet, 3rd party and dedicated carrier freight conversions. Support inbound logistics processes such as the modeling of complex financial calculations based on inbound route design Support the development and maintenance of the logistics databases within the logistics department (Llamasoft, TMS, ArrowStream). Leverages optimization software to engineer optimal inbound trucking routes for USF locations and dedicated 3rd party hubs. Utilize financial, logistical, and procurement databases/systems to assist in freight reporting and ad hoc route analysis to support corrective action improvements and/or re-engineered route solutions. Perform detailed analysis and provide KPIs/metrics to department leadership and executive supply chain stakeholders as needed Support partnering / consensus building across Logistics functions and with other internal / external stakeholders including the field Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office required (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access) Strong aptitude for assessing large datasets and deriving key performance-related insights Effective communication teaming skills; capable of developing alignment across Logistics functions and other departments Preferred Qualifications: Capable of utilizing data warehouse tools and extracts Preferred Experience: Undergraduate major in supply chain, operations, statistics, business, or a data-related field Prior work or internship experience in supply chain or data analytics This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $50,000 - $80,000. ***EOE
