The Business Analyst - SIS (Student Information Systems) will provide functional and technical support for the University's Student Information System (Jenzabar), serving as the primary point of contact for campus users. This role is responsible for troubleshooting system issues, building SQL-based reports, managing and maintaining stored procedures, and partnering with users to understand and meet their data and process needs.
OPERATIONS AND PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary point of contact and provide front-line support for Jenzabar-related inquiries, troubleshoot issues for end users, and resolve them promptly. Build, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL-based reports. Meet with users to gather requirements, define report parameters, and document business needs. Manage and troubleshoot stored procedures, functions, and views in support of accurate reporting and system performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data access, processes, and system usability within Jenzabar. Ensure data integrity by working with departments to review, clean, and validate SIS data. Participate in testing, validating, and implementing Jenzabar patches, updates, and enhancements. Manage data entry and manual processes such as new hire processing and event setup. Maintain relevant system documentation, reporting guides, and training materials. Assist with user training and serve as a functional expert for campus offices using Jenzabar. Adhere to University policies and change-control protocols when making updates to reports, data structures, or stored procedures. Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive student and institutional data. Collaborate with IT and functional teams to improve system usability and data access. Stay current with SIS and reporting technologies and recommend improvements. Respond to and assign Helpdesk tickets and follow up with stakeholders. Be on call during non-office hours and emergencies to respond to critical SIS needs. Perform other duties as assigned. PEOPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Foster a service-oriented environment for campus users of the Student Information System. Serve as a liaison between technical staff and functional departments to translate business needs into system functionality. Maintain technical competencies in SQL, Jenzabar, and associated reporting tools. Stay current with new developments in SIS and reporting technologies and make recommendations for adoption when appropriate. Collaborate with IT team members on cross-functional initiatives, upgrades, and data integrations. QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong working knowledge of SQL. Experience supporting or administering Student Information Systems (Jenzabar preferred). Familiarity with stored procedures, data structures, and query optimization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, service-minded attitude. Familiarity with higher education processes and data systems is preferred. Enthusiasm for learning and using AI tools for automation and efficiency. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (preferred); equivalent experience will be considered. A minimum of two years of SQL-related experience is preferred. Prior experience working in a higher education environment or with Jenzabar is highly desirable.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while coding. Lifting up to 50lbs may be required.

Onsite in the Office of Information Technology in Oklahoma City.
