Compensation: $32.00 - $45.00 hourly
Job Summary This position performs machine setups, manufactures machined parts, and develops programs for CNC machine shop equipment to perform standard metal cutting to meet customer requirements.
Essential Job Functions/Duties
Understand and work with advanced shop mathematical concepts.
Possess extensive experience with all aspects of machine manufacturing, including 3, 4, 5 axis machines, materials, tooling, fixtures, and advanced CNC programming.
Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and resolution skills.
Maintain enthusiasm, drive, and work ethic in an on-time environment.
Collaborate with management, engineering, purchasing, and shop floor staff to complete estimates, improve processes, and resolve manufacturing issues.
Have a solid understanding of 3D modeling software.
Ability to create training materials and train shop floor employees.
Be creative, detail-oriented, and communicate effectively with the development team.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and increase productivity.
Participate in the startup of new equipment.
Work effectively and professionally with all organizational levels, both internal and external customers.
Adhere to AS9100 and ISO procedures and compliance.
Ensure equipment controls are accurately defined and maintained.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Work flexible hours and demonstrate reliability.
Be willing to work at the Chittenango facility.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree or related certification preferred.
3-5 years of CNC programming and operation experience.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software and G-code.
Familiarity with Motion Control and Vision systems.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively.
Experience troubleshooting control systems.
Knowledge of GD&T practices.
Experience interpreting technical drawings.
Experience with Coordinate Measurement Machine programming is a plus.
