Medical Lab Scientist/Technologist Or Medical Lab Technician (Various Departments)
We are currently seeking a Medical Lab Scientist/Technologist (MLS/MLT) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals seeking to contribute to patient care in a dynamic and growing healthcare setting. We have openings in various departments, and we are looking for individuals passionate about working in a clinical lab environment. Job Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic tests in one or more of the following departments: hematology, microbiology, blood bank, chemistry, or clinical pathology. Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting. Prepare and process specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols and guidelines. Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and conducting routine maintenance and calibration. Follow safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives to ensure lab operations meet the highest standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate test results are communicated effectively. Qualifications:
For MLS/MT:
Certification as a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) required. For MLT:
Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) required. Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field for MLS/MT or Associates degree for MLT. Valid state licensure where applicable. Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates. Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, quality control, and safety standards. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
