A dynamic legal organization in Dallas is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on
Accounting Supervisor
to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned accounting professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys balancing operational execution with light team leadership. About the Role: This position is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves—approximately 70% of the role is focused on direct accounting work, while 30% involves supervising a small team. The selected candidate will oversee two direct reports (Staff Accountant and AP Specialist) and ensure timely execution of daily accounting functions, including invoice reconciliation, GL coding, and payment processing. Manage and reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit card transactions (AMEX & VISA) Execute wire transfers across three banking institutions Oversee invoice processing, coding, and filing to meet strict deadlines Match and reconcile data between NetSuite and a proprietary settlement system (FileVine) Collaborate with IT to ensure system integrations and data accuracy Support monthly multi-state reporting, including Hawaii Assist with or take ownership of payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now Cut checks and coordinate approvals with senior leadership Utilize Excel extensively, especially pivot tables, for reporting and analysis Preferred Qualifications: Strong background in accounting and financial reconciliation (12+ accounts) Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members Familiarity with NetSuite and/or FileVine is a plus Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables required) Legal or law office experience is highly desirable Comfortable working in a casual, yet deadline-driven environment In-office, Monday–Friday Seniority level
