Job Description
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing manufacturing operations through process optimization, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient production of high-precision components, particularly for demanding industries such as defense and aerospace. The engineer will focus on improving machining workflows, supporting tooling design, and implementing strategies to drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across the shop floor. Key responsibilities include:Develop and refine CNC programs for complex parts used in high-precision, defense and space industries.
Lead the setup, testing, and validation of machining processes to ensure quality and efficiency. Support the design of custom fixtures and tooling to improve consistency and repeatability. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance work flows. Drive process improvements through automation strategies and continuous evaluation of machining methods. The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Systems Engineer role will bring a strong background in CNC programming and a deep understanding of precision manufacturing environments. They should be comfortable working in high-stakes industries such as aerospace or defense, where quality, accuracy, and efficiency are paramount. This individual will be a proactive problem-solver with the ability to interpret technical data, troubleshoot effectively, and contribute to ongoing process improvements. Key qualifications include:
6+ years of hands-on CNC programming experience. Comfortable working in fast-paced, precision-focused environments tied to industries like aerospace or defense. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and quality standards. Able to interpret technical data and inspection results to make informed process adjustments.
