Must-Have: - Experience in labor and delivery nursing - Ability to float to postpartum unit as needed
Description: We are looking for labor and delivery nurses who thrive in an open and transparent environment. Our facility delivers approximately 3,500 babies annually. Clinical teams will conduct interviews with candidates prior to presentation. L&D nurses will float to the postpartum unit as required. The labor and delivery unit features a 14-bed capacity, including 2 triage beds, 4 recovery bays, 3 operating rooms, and 3 labor tubs. Nurses will work across antepartum, labor and delivery, and may circulate in the operating room for C-sections. After completing education and testing, nurses will be able to work in triage. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 for labor (1:1 for glucostabilizer, magnesium, and pitocin), 1:3 for antepartum, and 1:2-3 in triage based on acuity. In the operating room, the ratio is 1:1 as a circulator, supporting 300 deliveries monthly. Laborists and anesthesia staff are available 24/7. The postpartum unit has a 27-bed capacity with a 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio, and babies remain in the nursery during the night unless mothers choose otherwise. Documentation is completed in Cerner with Fetelink charting system.
