highly flexible , requiring
on-site presence at least once every 15 days . Key Responsibilities
Serve as the
Technical Manager
per
TCEQ / TNI 2016 EL-V1M2 Section5.2.6 Oversee microbiological testing (total coliform,
E. coli ) for drinking water compliance Ensure
QA/QC programs , SOPs, and training records meet TCEQ standards Review and approve analytical results and corrective actions Maintain proficiency testing, method documentation, and accreditation compliance Prepare for and participate in
TCEQ audits and inspections Minimum Qualifications (Per TCEQ for Microbiology Technical Manager)
Option 1 – Full Microbiology: Bachelor’s degree
in microbiology, biology, chemistry, environmental science, or related field ≥ 2 years
of environmental microbiology lab experience Option 2 – Limited Microbiology: Associate degree or ≥ 2 years of college
in science or applied science ≥ 4 semester credit hours
in general microbiology ≥ 1 year
of environmental microbiology experience Preferred: Experience in
TCEQ-accredited or NELAP laboratories Familiarity with
TNI personnel and QA/QC standards Strong documentation and compliance skills Schedule & Compensation
Part-Time:
On-site once every 15 days Flexible schedule – ideal for semi-retired professionals or supplemental work Competitive hourly rate or monthly stipend based on experience
