Project Manager - Land Development A national civil engineering firm are looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join its Land Development team. This role is ideal for a Licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in designing and managing infrastructure projects for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the greater Houston, TX area. Key Responsibilities: Perform civil engineering calculations and develop construction plans, feasibility studies, specifications, and technical reports for land development projects. Research and apply permitting processes and code requirements for city, county, and state entities in the Houston area. Conceptualize design approaches for significant project phases or oversee smaller projects independently. Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure designs meet client goals, timelines, and financial requirements. Lead, mentor, or support less experienced engineers, fostering collaboration within the team. Adapt and apply engineering techniques and procedures to create innovative solutions. Build strong relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders, facilitating clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Design water, sanitary sewer, drainage, and paving systems tailored to project requirements. Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and written technical reports. Serve as a client liaison, attending design meetings, managing interactions, and supporting project presentations. Coordinate with permitting agencies to ensure compliance and technical accuracy during review processes. Engage in field activities, including site inspections and construction coordination, as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. At least 5 years of land development experience in Texas. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Houston-area regulations and permitting processes is a plus. Why Join?
