The Lead Business Intelligence Architect will be responsible for database architecture, design, and implementation for the new Federal EAP Data Warehouse.

The candidate should have experience architecting modern business intelligence products using cloud-native development strategies in AWS Redshift / S3. Medallion architecture experience is a plus.
This person will be responsible for ingestion strategies, storage strategies, data model design, and data processing logic, while ensuring that our solution adheres to broader Magellan Data principles and architectures.
This candidate should have experience with Tableau Reporting and Tableau Data Sources, understanding the impact of data warehouse design on Tableau Data Source design.
The candidate will lead and mentor other developers, providing leadership to our data team and guidance and coaching towards best practices and consistent solution approaches.

This position is responsible for providing the guidance and vision to identify the enterprise core technologies necessary to drive consistent and valuable Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. This role leads tactical business initiatives and formulates a design plan that factors technology investments and risks while providing value to the company. The position manages the technological components for business plans ensuring compliance with existing enterprise regulations while addressing any security risks. The role has oversight for the efficient use BI resources to reduce costs and ongoing maintenance.
Responsibilities include:
Define the Business Intelligence (BI) technology strategy for implementing enterprise, self-service architectures.
Collaborate with IT in building and maintaining enterprise Information Flow models and Reference Data Management strategy.
Partner with cross-functional business leads and teams to deliver on strategic data and analytics initiatives.
Work directly with BI architects to align domain solutions to the enterprise architecture and solve integration problems across multiple systems.
Influence the BI team to apply industry and domain best practices, methodologies, and processes for Data Governance.
Coordinate training and communication of Information architecture across the company.
Identify business opportunities for applying leading and emerging information technologies at Magellan and develop frameworks ensuring business-smart resource allocation.
Drive successful installations, configuration, performance tuning, and Qlik environment optimization.
Lead analysis, design, and development of Qlik frameworks and client-facing applications, assisting customers with capacity planning for scalability.
Recommend standard design patterns used in Hadoop-based deployments.
Research, evaluate, and adapt to new technologies, projecting trends for the future.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience as Business Intelligence/Analytics Architect or higher degree (Masters/Ph.D.) with 7+ years experience as a BI/analytics architect.
Experience leading and implementing enterprise-scale data models and analytical systems.
Strong business and IT background to architect software, hardware, network, or any IT solution that delivers results.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Proficiency in Big Data, Cloud & Hadoop tools and technologies.
Proficiency with BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc., and data modeling.
Knowledge of distributed systems, data pipelines, and transformation concepts.
Strong track record of completing quality projects and mentoring teams.
Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
