Overview
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution. Will consider three years of progressive experience in the field in lieu of each year of education. At least 7 years of IT experience. Experience in Cloud technologies, Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence. Knowledge of enterprise cloud solutions, deploying and managing solutions in cloud environments, including private, public, and hybrid clouds. Experience with Internet technologies and protocols like TCP/IP, VPN, SSL, and HTTP. Hands-on experience with public and private cloud services (AWS, OpenStack, VMWare, etc.), load balancers, and networking devices. Experience designing high availability and disaster recovery infrastructures. Development experience with database or application integration technologies. Deep knowledge of Linux fundamentals. Knowledge of Open Source architectures and/or contributions to open source projects. Design, development, and operations experience with highly-available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems. Preferred Skills
Experience with agile/scrum methodologies. Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA) Certification. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the company's data warehousing and reporting needs. Produce architecture blueprints guiding the development and implementation of cloud solutions across multiple products, providing direction to technical teams during project delivery, and ensuring alignment with technology and product roadmaps. Develop and maintain architecture standards and solutions aligned with strategic goals, collaborating with product managers, business analysts, designers, and engineers. Analyze client needs and communicate solutions effectively. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. Improve internal processes and promote knowledge sharing through contributions to knowledge bases, blogs, and training sessions. Capture lessons learned and translate them into architectural best practices for broader application; mentor team members. Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to review requirements and feedback, and identify platform enhancement opportunities. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines. Estimated annual compensation varies by location, e.g., $96,000 to $134,440 in CA, WA, NY, CO, MD, IL, MN, NJ; $85,600 to $129,000 in Washington, DC. The role involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods; effective communication skills are required. Travel may be necessary.
