POSITION SUMMARY:
The Leadership Development Curriculum Manager leads the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of leadership development programs across the organization. This role focuses on creating innovative learning experiences, aligning them with strategic business objectives, and measuring their effectiveness through rigorous assessment and Return on Investment (ROI)/Return on Expectation (ROE) analysis. The Manager partners closely with stakeholders to identify evolving business needs, implement effective digital learning solutions, and drive leadership excellence.

Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments and levels to ensure leadership programs address current and emerging organizational needs.
Regularly conduct comprehensive needs assessments with business leaders and HR partners to identify gaps and opportunities in leadership development.
Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in leadership development best practices and adult learning methodologies.

Develop, implement, and continuously refine robust leadership curricula aligned with Portillo’s competencies, values, and strategic goals.
Translate organizational goals into scalable learning experiences that grow strategic thinking and problem solving capabilities across leadership levels.
Regularly audit and evaluate existing leadership programs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and internal performance benchmarks.
Establish, track, and report on comprehensive metrics such as ROI and ROE to evaluate program impact.
Use data-driven insights to recommend program enhancements, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and alignment with organizational objectives.
Integrate feedback from participants, facilitators, and stakeholders to continually optimize program design and delivery.

Proactively research, evaluate, and integrate innovative digital learning technologies and methods (such as mobile learning, microlearning, AI-driven platforms, AI-driven simulations, and immersive technologies) to enhance learning experiences.
Support leadership enablement through creating toolkits, leader guides, and embedded coaching frameworks that help leaders apply learning in the flow of work.
Exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving, addressing challenges promptly and efficiently to maintain program momentum and effectiveness.
Manage vendor relationships and evaluate external learning resources to ensure optimal integration with internal programs.

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
Reports directly to the Senior Manager Leadership Development and has no direct reports.
Works closely and collaboratively with Learning & Development team, People (HR) Business Partners, Operations Leaders, IT, Marketing, Restaurant Support Center Department Heads, and field leadership.
Manages relationships with external L&D vendors and technology partners as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Level/Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field required.
Work Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Minimum 5 years' experience in learning and development, specifically in designing and implementing leadership programs.
Proven expertise in instructional design, adult learning theories, and curriculum development.
Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging innovative learning technologies and digital tools.
Experience establishing and reporting ROI and ROE metrics for leadership programs.
Excellent project management, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to multitask effectively, managing various projects simultaneously.
Experience managing vendor relationships and external partnerships.
Proven ability to conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and identify skill gaps.
Excellent project management skills: ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously from inception to completion.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional consultative skills; ability to influence and partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong PowerPoint skills for creating compelling presentations and proposals.
Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; restaurant or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
Familiarity with the 70:20:10 learning framework and experience integrating formal and informal learning methods.
Ability to build sustainable relationships across all levels of the organization.
Travel Requirement
Some travel may be required for meetings, site visits, or training delivery (estimated 10-15%).
Work Environment
Hybrid role requiring presence in the Oak Brook, IL Restaurant Support Center office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
Hot dog ! The pay range for this role is $95,000 .00 - $110,000.00 per year. Your actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and/or additional skills you bring to the table.
