We are looking for a skilled Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role involves managing and maintaining applications and middleware across both on-premise and cloud environments. Hybrid - 3 days onsite a week in Reading, Pa Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer Linux systems, ensuring their security and performance in both on-premise and cloud environments. Build, patch and maintain Linux systems both on premise and in the cloud. Install, update, and troubleshoot middleware solutions for web systems, including application servers, web servers, and database servers. Oversee the Single Sign-On (SSO) environment, handling its installation, patching, and maintenance. Collaborate with offshore teams to coordinate code deployments and shift turnovers effectively. Monitor system infrastructure daily and address usability issues promptly. Develop and implement scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. Provide operational support, including server monitoring, backups, and system patching. Participate in cloud migration initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions of systems and applications. Assist in integrating new technologies and applications into the existing infrastructure. Provide guidance to administrators with less experience and offshore team members to enhance their technical expertise. Requirements:
Top skills: Linux, AWS, OpenShift, Ansible (a plus), Jenkins/Terraform Ansible Automation Proficiency in Linux systems, middleware solutions, and cloud technologies. Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Intermediate understanding of operating systems, networks, and security protocols. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security measures.
