Job Description Microsoft Lead Architect (.NET) #956 Clearance:
US Citizenship required; Ability to obtain National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) *** Ability to work remote as long as you are located in the Washington DC or Chicago areas** Dev Technology Group is seeking a Lead Architect/.NET Developer in the Chicago, IL or Washington, DC areas, to support our federal government client's mission to develop new tools and technologies, make enhancements, and provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support for existing systems. The ideal candidate will have relevant development language and development leadership experience, strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment. Responsibilities: The Lead Technical Architect/Developer shall provide hands-on technical leadership to the developers in the implementation of new applications/services and/or enhancements to existing applications/services Additionally, this role shall perform technical requirements, architectural, and design analysis, proactively identify and resolve potential development and implementation issues, and perform feasibility analyses to improve application performance and mitigate risks Requirements: Expertise in .NET required At least 8 years of experience as a Developer using Microsoft development tools At least five 5 years of experience as a Lead Developer, guiding teams to build computer systems and experience with Agile methodology Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree Agile delivery experience Preferred Skills and Experience: Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS
Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
Ability to adapt quickly to shifting project priorities and evolving business requirements in an Agile development environment
Commitment to cross-functional alignment and communication
Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials
Demonstrated passion for solving complex software challenges, and working alongside fellow team members to make that happen
Ability to mentor and lead more junior developers and ensure they adhere to software quality standards
Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
Experience planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design
Experience designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business processes and application requirements
Experience directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications
Ability to write testable, scalable, and efficient code and leading code reviews
