Memorial Healthcare System Performs magnetic resonance imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Responsibilities include taking on call shift responsibilities as required, reviewing patient history and physician's orders, educating patients about procedures, preparing equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate imaging parameters, implementing safety standards, performing quality control on equipment, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, charging for supplies used, providing patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District, preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition, positioning patients and performing imaging procedures, analyzing acquisition parameters and image quality, maintaining MRI safety according to American College of Radiology and hospital policy. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and ability to work in stressful environments. Requires two years MRI experience in acute care setting and registration in MRI by ARRT or ARMRIT. Education and certifications required include accredited imaging program, ARRT certification, and BLS certifications. Physical and working conditions involve various physical activities and exposure to biological hazards and other workplace risks. Shift is days.
