Machine Operator Opportunities
Are you an experienced machine operator with a background in steel or metal cutting? We're seeking skilled Machine Operators with expertise in band saws, waterjet cutters, plasma cutters, and laser cutters to join a leading steel cutting distributor in the Nashville, TN area. If you have hands-on experience in metal cutting and are looking for an opportunity to grow in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you! These temp-to-hire positions offer great pay, stable hours, and the chance to become a permanent member of an expanding team. Shifts and Pay Offered: Pay Rate: $20.50 - $22.50/hour, depending on experience 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM 2nd Shift:
2:00 PM - 12:30 AM Positions Available: Band Saw Operator Laser Operator Shear Operator Plasma Operator Machine Operator Skills and Qualifications: Experience with cutting materials using a band saw, shear machine, plasma cutter, or laser cutter (depending on the position) Ability to read and interpret technical work orders and specifications Skilled in using measuring tools (tape measures and calipers) to ensure precise cuts Strong attention to detail and focus on quality Dependable, with a stable work history and strong attendance record Ability to work well in a team environment and eagerness to learn new skills Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities: Follow work orders and specifications for each job accurately Operate machines to cut steel or other materials according to precise measurements and guidelines Perform routine inspections to ensure all cuts meet quality standards Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols Follow all safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment Benefits Offered by WPS: Weekly Pay Medical, Dental and Life Insurance Direct Deposit or Payroll Card Employee Referral Bonus
