AP Executive Staffing is hiring CNC Swiss/Mill Turn Programmers to work either 2nd or 3rd shifts for our customer, a rapidly growing manufacturer of complex medical devices located in the East Rochester, NY region. The CNC Swiss/Mill Turn Machinist programs, sets up, and operates Swiss style and Mill Turn CNC machines along with a variety of other machine tools. Working from part prints, process sheets, quality documentation, and CAD models to produce precision components to print. Essential functions include: Review complex drawings and GT&D. Program and troubleshoot complex tool paths. Work with other departments on projects, designs, and process improvements. Program, set-up, run parts, inspect, and make adjustments to produce conforming parts. Support Discovery and Engineering on rapid prototyping and urgent request. Write and implement Macros. SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years’ advanced G-code programming, setting-up and operating Swiss style and Mill turn machines. 3+ years experience writing complex, multi Axis programs (3+ Axis) precision parts. 3+ years’ experience using CAM software (i.e. PartMaker or Esprit) to generate G-code automatically or semi-automatically based on the machining setup. 3+ years’ experience working with close tolerances in a variety of metals. SKILL/EXPERIENCE PREFERENCES: Completion of trade school preferred. Knowledge of SPC preferred. SHIFT HOURS:
2nd shift 2pm - 10pm / 3rd shift 10:00 pm - 6:30 am HOURLY RANGE:
$35-38/hour, depending on experience level + $3000 sign-on bonus and outstanding benefits: Bonus Plan, 401(k) plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Product Discounts. Paid Holidays, PTO, Sick Time. Medical, Vision and Dental effective first day of employment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
lift and/or carry from 10-30 lbs (some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.); sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day in a manufacturing environment Seniority level
