Manager, Material Systems & Analytics
to lead the implementation, optimization, and integration of key automotive material systems, including warehouse management systems (WMS), Kanban, part kitting, and sequencing solutions. This role also supports the seamless integration of transportation management systems (TMS), electronic data interchange (EDI), and other supply chain systems within Production Control. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and refining production business processes, enhancing operational efficiency across manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate has expertise in material systems, data analytics, KPI management, and process automation, leveraging insights to optimize logistics operations, production workflows, and real-time material flow tracking. This role collaborates with IT, Production Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and external partners to improve material handling systems, forecasting, automation, and business process standardization. What you get to do: Develop and optimize business processes and automation initiatives to improve production and logistics operations. Design, implement, and improve WMS, Kanban, kitting, and sequencing systems to enhance material flow efficiency. Support Logistics & IT teams with TMS, EDI, and other supply chain system integrations. Develop analytics models and dashboards to monitor material flow, inventory accuracy, and logistics performance. Utilize Power BI and other analytics tools to create interactive reports, visualizations, and trend analyses. Apply data mining techniques to enhance demand forecasting, warehouse capacity optimization, and bottleneck identification. Collaborate with IT and Production Control to integrate systems, ensuring real-time material tracking and operational visibility. Establish KPI frameworks to assess material flow efficiency, supply chain performance, and system effectiveness. Partner with manufacturing teams to develop, document, and standardize production workflows for seamless material movement. Define best practices for production processes, aligning material systems with operational efficiency goals. Implement RFID, barcode tracking, and IoT-based material monitoring systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Analyze logistics data trends and provide strategic insights for material planning and warehouse operations. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data security standards, and best practices in material systems management. What you bring to the team: Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred. 8+ years of experience in material systems implementation, analytics, business / production process development, and automotive logistics. Strong experience in system integration for WMS, Kanban, material pull, and ERP platforms. Expertise in data analytics, data mining, KPI development, and production workflow optimization. Deep understanding of automotive manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and supply chain alignment. Technical Expertise Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or other dashboard visualization tools for analytics and reporting. Experience with ERP & WMS / TMS systems, including SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, Plex, or Microsoft Dynamics. Hands-on expertise in data mining techniques, SQL queries, and predictive analytics for logistics improvement. Knowledge of EDI mapping, data exchanges, and supplier system integration is preferred. Understanding of machine learning and AI-driven analytics tools for material system and production process optimization is preferred. Cross-functional leadership experience, working with IT, Production Control, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless integration. Ability to define process standards and drive automation improvements for material handling and production workflows. Strong project management skills, capable of leading system implementations and process enhancements. Industry & Compliance Knowledge Knowledge of automotive material flow regulations, data security standards, and production process compliance requirements. Understanding of operational best practices for material systems and logistics. Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance operations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in explaining complex analytics, process improvements, and system integrations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%). Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
