Job Title: Location: Hybrid – Must be located in the Fort Worth, TX metro area (1 day per week in-office) Compensation: Up to $225,000 base salary + 20% annual bonus Overview: Our client, a global company with operations in North America and internationally, is seeking an experienced North America Controller to lead the accounting function across its U.S. and Mexico operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective controls, and accounting process improvement throughout the region. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, and a proven track record of scaling finance functions within complex, multi-entity environments. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage North American accounting operations, including general ledger, consolidations, AP/AR, and compliance across U.S. and Mexico entities Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and completeness Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate governance standards Coordinate external audits and oversee statutory and regulatory reporting requirements Provide strategic financial insights to leadership in collaboration with FP&A and operational teams Identify and execute process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency and scalability Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional accounting team Serve as a liaison to external auditors, banks, and other financial partners Partner with senior leaders to support cross-border operations and future growth initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong command of U.S. GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is a plus Experience managing accounting functions across multiple entities or countries (U.S. and Mexico experience preferred) Demonstrated success improving accounting operations and internal controls in high-growth or complex organizations Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills Travel: Required: 1 day per week in Fort Worth office Quarterly travel to Mexico Occasional travel to other regional offices as needed Seniority level
