PrideStaff is currently seeking a qualified and dependable Engineering Technician for an electronics manufacturing company located in the Willowbrook, IL area. This is a direct hire position. 1st shift 6am-2:30pm M-F $50,000k - $65,000k per year DOE. Specialties:

The Engineering Technician provides technical services in a product development environment. Responsibilities include assembly and testing of mechanical parts, electromechanical product prototypes and test fixtures. Duties: Assemble and test prototypes, fixtures, and mechanical parts using machine shop tools and equipment and documenting feedback Provide technical support to design engineers, production team, and management as required Continuously identify, measure, and improve product and processes Procure material, test equipment, electronic devices as required Inventory and manage parts and components Help maintain engineering lab and supplies utilizing 5S concepts Create cable assemblies and harnesses to print Provide support to hardware validation engineers in testing and documenting results Provide support to lab manager in equipment management Log debug data and plot to enable decision making Handle 3D printers when needed Troubleshoot, repair, and verify product or fixture problems to the component level Prepare test plans and test procedures Design, assemble, and validate test fixtures used in product development and production Manage calibration of fixture and test equipment when needed Qualifications: Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in an engineering / manufacturing organization 2-year electronic engineering technology degree or equivalent Proficiency in soldering, circuit board, and fixture assembly General machining skills like milling, drilling, grinding, etc. Working knowledge of analog, digital electronics, and basic microprocessor knowledge Working knowledge of machine shop tools and equipment Basic knowledge of software development a PLUS Good technical writing and presentation skills Attention to detail Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to submit an up-to-date resume for immediate consideration!
