MetaPhase is supporting a federal client to maintain and modernize data processing and visualization systems by leveraging open-source technologies following Agile. The application includes middleware microservices, front-end user interfaces, and backend databases/APIs.
MetaPhase is seeking a Full Stack Developer with 5 years of experience to join a cross-functional agile development team to deliver a custom application in support of a critical federal program. The Full Stack developer will contribute to development tasks and activities which will include creating user interface (Vue JavaScript framework), core application logic (.NET/C#), and API/web services. The solution will be integrated with multiple external systems. The developer will be responsible for collaborating within an agile team (requirements, designers, data engineers) and client stakeholders (product owner, end-users) to understand business requirements and implement assigned user stories.
What You Will Be Doing:
Apply test-driven development principles to develop, enhance, and sustain medium to large complex applications using a combination of .NET and TypeScript frameworks Collaborate with customer product owners and cross-functional agile team to support working sessions and to evaluate, define, and prioritize requirements/features/user stories Contribute to technical research/analysis of user stories and participate in agile ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning Complete assigned user stories by designing and developing new features/components or major enhancements to existing software while ensuring compliance Cyber Security and Federal IT security standards (i.e., NIST) as well as Section 508 accessibility requirements Conduct unit testing and collaborat e with tester to address found issues/bugs, and support team with documentation required by the client Support demos and provide technical support to end-users for UAT and/or production issues
What We Need From You (Required):
5 years of professional experience supporting custom software development efforts Experience with front-end technologies: Vue.js , TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 Experience with frameworks and 3rd party libraries such as React, Angular, or jQuery Experience building backend APIs and services using Microsoft's .NET framework and C# Skilled in SQL and JavaScript development Excellent communicator and collaborator within Agile teams and with stakeholders
Bonus Points (Desired):
Experience working with federal clients or in a government contracting environment Familiarity with tools like SharePoint , GitHub, and JIRA
Work Setup:
Remote – occasional meetings in the Washington, DC metro area
Travel:
None
Clearance & Education:
Active Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance) Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation:
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 105k - 120k.
