Job Description As a Missile System Integration Engineer, you will lead the design and integration activities for a rapid development, low-cost CUAS missile program. This role will report to the Program Chief Engineer and interface closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and test teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of mission-critical capabilities. Inform trade studies of missile performance, seeker technology, flight controls, and warhead for the refinement of the missile system design. Lead integration of missile warhead systems, ensuring alignment with design and performance requirements. Oversee fire control system integration with both missile and launcher platforms. Define and enforce system safety checks, safing mechanisms, and interlocks to meet operational and regulatory standards. Lead integration of missile seeker systems, ensuring alignment with design and performance requirements. Manage external vendors and subcontractors, including technical oversight and schedule alignment. Collaborate cross-functionally with software, hardware, test, and safety teams to ensure full system readiness. Support verification, validation, and test planning related to weapon system integration. Required Skills/Qualifications Strong technical understanding of sensor and warhead integration into guided missile systems. Experience with fire control systems and their interaction with both launch platform munitions. Knowledge of missile system safing, including safety-critical interlocks, checks, and arming mechanisms. Demonstrated ability to lead complex system integration projects and manage external vendors. Preferred Skills/Qualifications Hands-on experience with DoD or aerospace/defense missile programs. Familiarity with MIL-STD safety and integration guidelines. Experience working in cross-functional environments, especially in rapid development or prototyping teams. Comfortable navigating structured safety certification and validation processes. Experience working with explosives, EOD, or similar. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred. 7+ years relevant experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments. Master’s degree in engineering + 5 years’ experience preferred. Clearance Level Required:
Current secret clearance required. Travel:
Less than 5%. Working Conditions:
Ranges from office environments to field testing environments. Physical Demands:
Ability to work in an office, travel to sites, lift up to 25 lbs. Salary:
$150,000 - $190,000 annually, plus potential bonus. Benefits:
